Thorne Golf Club is holding its annual charity Golf Day to support the St John’s Hospice Appeal.
The day takes place on Saturday September a19 t the Kirton Lane course.
Gordon Huffee who is organising the event is keen for as many local golfers as possible to join in and support the day.
He said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a day of golf, with prizes and trophies kindly donated by local and regional businesses and to raise money for a very worthwhile cause.”
Chris Smith, from St John’s Hospice Appeal, said: “It’s great that the club has decided to host its annual charity golf day for us once again. I’d like to thank Gordon and everyone at Thorne Golf Club for their support and all the businesses who have donated prizes.”
Donated prizes include a satellite navigation system from a local Ford dealership, who will also provide two demonstration cars on the day which will be parked adjacent to the first tee.
There will be prizes for the first five places on the day in addition to a prize raffle draw. The format for the day will be Stableford Full Handicap.
