hungry fundraisers had to prove their eyes weren’t bigger than their bellies by tucking into arguably Doncaster’s biggest breakfast.

A veritable feat was on offer at The Beefeater pub in Lakeside as folk tucked into the latest fundraiser in aid of Scan for Life.

Participants had to raise a minimum of £50 for the appeal to buy a £600,000 cancer scanner for Doncaster Royal Infirmary - run in conjunction with Doncaster Cancer Detection Trust - to be eligible for the belly-busting challenge.

On the menu was a bowl each of cereal, porridge, granola and fruit salad, a mini chocolate muffin, a crumpet, a croissant and yoghurt.

But the challenge did not stop there with folk then having to devour a full English of one bacon, sausages, mushrooms, tomato, beans and a fried egg.
