Teenage boy falls down Cadeby quarry

Firefighters from Doncaster were called out to a van fire in Wentworth Road, Wheatley, at 8.50pm last night (Saturday, September 14).

One appliance attended the scene to what is believed to have been a deliberate fire to a stolen vehicle.

Officers had to break into the van and used a high pressure jet to deal with the incident.

The vehicle was totally burnt out.

* A teenage boy had to be rescued from the quarry at Cadeby at 6.45pm last night.

It is believed he fell off a quad bike.

Two fire appliances from Edlington and Rotherham attended to assist the ambulance crew.
