OVER 100 golfers teed off to help raise £4,500 in aid of Parkinson’s Disease which affects two club members.

Players Steve Prime and Riley South are both members of Bawtry Golf Club and have both been diagnosed with the incurable condition.

Despite their news, the pair decided they wanted to raise money to help towards paying for research which aims to find a cure for Parkinson’s.

Using their love of golf, the pair joined forces with Steve Howden of Cromwell Tools who agreed to sponsor a charity golf day.

The event, at Bawtry Golf Club in Austerfield, saw 28 teams and well over 100 players taking part.

Guests also enjoyed an evening meal and other fundraising activities.
