SOAP stars, actors and former footballers have signed up to take on a team of Doncaster teachers for charity.

The Celebrity Allstar line-up includes Doncaster Belles coach John Buckley, former Rovers striker Bruce Dyer, ex-Emmerdale actor Luke Tittensor and Hollyoaks star Jay Khan.

They will be facing a team of Doncaster teachers from schools including Bessacarr’s Willow Primary, Rossington All Saints and Shaw Wood in Armthorpe.

The event is being held to raise money for the NSPCC - a charity Doncaster Rovers is supporting.

Nathan Atkinson, headteacher at Kingfisher Primary School in Wheatley, said: “Rovers wrote to all Doncaster schools and asked them to raise funds to support the NSPCC, I wanted to think of a creative idea that could impact across the whole community.”

The match kicks-off at the Keepmoat Stadium on Thursday, May 5, at 6.30pm.
