THREE youngsters got more than they bargained for when they threw stones at a bus packed with police officers.
Officers from the town centre safer neighbourhood team (SNT) boarded a bus after receiving reports of buses being attacked with stones in Wheatley.
The three boys aged 12 and 13 were detained in Beckett Road and received warning letters about their behaviour after being caught throwing stones at the bus.
Four other young people were also stopped and spoken to by the officers after they were found hanging around the bus as it was parked.
Sgt Steve Butler for the SNT said: "Using the bus is a great way for us to target the young people who continue to cause damage to buses through antisocial behaviour."
