Staff at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) are pledging their support to the second national NHS Change Day tomorrow.

Change Day is about NHS staff taking things into their own hands to make a difference for the service they care so deeply about.

Staff from the trust, which provides a wide range of services across Doncaster, Rotherham, North Lincolnshire and Manchester, are pledging one simple action or new idea, to inspire people everywhere, staff, patients and the public to do something better together to improve care for people.

RDaSH policy and standards officer Joanne Perkins, who has set up a ‘pledge wall’ at the Trust’s headquarters at Woodfield House in Doncaster said: “Pledges can be big or small, serious or fun. From challenging service design to making people smile – they just need to make a positive difference, and we’re delighted with the pledges we’ve received so far.”

The first NHS Change Day took place last March and generated 189,000 pledges from staff.

The 2014 goal is half a million pledges.
