COUNCILLORS are due to meet this morning to discuss plans to extend the Keepmoat Stadium's £1 million overdraft.
Stadium Management Company, which runs the 32 million community stadium wants Doncaster Council to extend its overdraft guarantee for another 12 months to provide fnancial stability.
The stadium, home to Doncaster Rovers football club and the Dons rugby league club, slashed staff and the hours of matchday stewards and turnstile operators to avoid losing more money, a council report has revealed.
Opening hours of the Keepmoat's soccer and health centres were also reduced to save money and the cutbacks mean the stadium is hoping to announce a small profit of 2,000 at the end of the financial year in March.
The economy and enterprise overview and scrutiny panel meets at the Mansion House at 10am.
