BOSSES at Doncaster Racecourse have revealed that some of their St Leger packages are on the brink of selling out - six months in advance.
The tickets are for Leger Day and Ladies’ Day of the four day festival which last year attracted around 60,000 racegoers to the Town Moor venue.
Last year saw the re-introduction of Doncaster’s week-long Leger Festival week with a number of activities organised to supplement the race meeting. Tourism bosses said the extended festival brought in £10 million for the town.
Mark Spincer, managing director of Doncaster Racecourse, said: “Having overseen my first St Leger Festival last year, I was delighted with the overall performance.
“The current level of demand we are seeing for this year’s event, particularly in the hospitality market, is highly encouraging. We are hopeful of another record breaking year.”
