Volunteers who give up their spare time to help terminally-ill patients have been given the chance to put their feet up - and be waited on themselves.

Helpers at Rotherham Hospice, Broom Road, were served afternoon tea.

Waiting on were the town’s three MPs - John Healey, who represents Wentworth and Dearne, Rotherham MP Sarah Champion, and Kevin Barron who represents Rother Valley.

The event was organised to mark national Volunteers Week.

In total, Rotherham Hospice is supported by 350 volunteers. To lend a hand, call 01709 308 913.
