Holiday-makers can now Channel their energy into positive new trips from South Yorkshire's premier airport.
Passengers flying from Doncaster Sheffield runway can now head to Guernsey (whose delights are highlighted here) thanks to newly launched Flybe connection.
The island, known for beach resorts like Cobo Bay and the scenery of its coastal cliffs, can now be reached by connecting at Jersey.
Airport head of aviation development Chris Harcombe said: “We are delighted Flybe have been able to add Guernsey as an onward connection from Jersey, making another of the Channel Island’s accessible to our passengers.
“During the summer months this connection will operate daily and during the winter months it will connect three times a week.
“Working with Flybe we are providing great connectivity to our passengers and increasing the number of destinations they can reach by flying from Doncaster Sheffield Airport.”
Guernsey is home to Castle Cornet, a 13th-century harbor fortification in the capital of St. Peter Port, which now contains history and military museums. Visitors can also enjoy a trip to Hauteville House, the lavish former home of French writer Victor Hugo.
“This is a great place to enjoy some traditional family seaside fun, go Dolphin spotting or surfing and to try to spot a blonde hedgehog in Alderney!” added Chris.
