DONCASTER smokers were urged to save their money on national No Smoking Day.

Staff from Doncaster’s Stop Smoking service, run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust, went out into the town centre and Doncaster Royal Infirmary’s Women’s Hospital to tell smokers that quitting saves them money as well as helping health.

Maryanne Wylde, stop smoking specialist, said: “During our time in the town centre and the women’s hospital, we had 20 people agree to kick the habit and another 50 who pledged to keep their homes smoke free.”
