Hundreds of people turned out for some fun in the sun at the annual Wath Town Gala.
The event, which has been going for about 40 years, saw an estimated 700 people attend the grounds of Wath Town Hall on Saturday to enjoy a range of fun activities.
The Barnsley Concert Band played throughout the afternoon, there was a dog show and an energetic display of tae kwon do from members of the Wath-based S.W.A.T. team.
Visitors had a look around a range of stalls selling gifts, crafts, books and cakes, while others hoped for a winning ticket on the tombola.
There was also a number of children’s rides and a tug of war game.
Joyce Maleham, 72, secretary of event organisers Wath Community Partnership, said: “The weather was glorious and that helped with visitors numbers.
“The gala is a tradition in Wath and its nice to see everyone’s hard work pay off when so many people have a good time on the day.”
