LAKESIDE village hosts a rough sleeping event later this month to raise money for South Yorkshire-based charity Safe@last.
The Big Sleepout returns for its second year on Friday, September 30, and organisers are inviting supporters to sleep rough at the centre for one night to raise funds and awareness young runaways.
This year the charity hopes to beat last year’s total of 70 participants in the event and aims to have more people than ever take part to support the cause.
Cheryl Sadler, centre manager at Lakeside Village, said: “We are delighted to welcome back the Big Sleepout to Lakeside Village for a second year.”
n Anyone interested in taking part can log onto www.lakeside-village.co.uk/events to register for this year’s event.
