OVER 60 people attended a meeting to discuss ways to improve a village skatepark.

Working on plans to extend Sprotbrough Skatepark, user group Area51 allayed any fears of anti-social behaviour and littering taking place at the facility in Anchorage Lane.

After the meeting at Sprotbrough Library, Area51 chairman Steve Gratton said the group’s proposals improved anti-social behaviour and litter and would give off a positive impact in the community.

The group is now putting together feedback from ballot forms filled in by residents and it plans to contact Sprotbrough and Cusworth Parish Council, the site’s owners, to discuss how to progress plans.
