Members of the Sheffield StrongerIn campaign is set to hold a public meeting today, when people will be encourage to share how they feel following the referendum and to discuss what can be done in the city in response to Brexit.
The meeting will be held at 2pm today in the Garden Room at St Marys Church, Bramall Lane.
It has been organised by Jane Thomas, Chair of Sheffield Hallam Labour Party who says it is a meeting for those from all parties and non.
Jane joined a cross party alliance to help organise the StrongerIn campaign in Sheffield - the campaign to stay in the EU.
She said "This is an invite not just to those who campaigned but to those who voted to Remain and now find they want to express that there is another alternative to just accepting the result. We know that there are going to be immediate repercussions for Sheffield and we know some people in our community are worried about the rise in race and hate crime
"We need to come together and show solidarity to those who feel threatened by this result - and to respond proactivly to the impact of Brexit on Sheffield".
