Search is on for top citizens

VOTING has been opened for people in Misterton to nominate their citizens of the year.

The parish council is making two Citizen of the Year Awards, one for the under 18s and one for adults.

Residents are asked to nominate people who have made a significant contribution to village life in 2012.

Anyone who would like to suggest someone for an award should send nominations in by Sunday, March 31, to the parish council clerk at The Misterton Centre in High Street.

Nominations can also be sent by email to theclerk@misterton-notts-pc.gov.uk

The awards will be presented at the council’s annual general meeting in May.

Jane Moffett took home the adults award last year after she raised thousands to help pay for repairs to the roof of Misterton All Saints’ Church.
