A Ryanair flight was forced to make a U-turn over the Peak District after a passenger fell ill.

The 10.10am flight from Dublin to Warsaw in Poland turned back over the Peak District and back over Manchester following the incident.

The Boeing 737 plane, flight number FR8011, landed safely back at Dublin.

A Ryanair spokesman said: "This flight from Dublin to Warsaw returned to Dublin after take-off after a customer became ill on board.

"The crew called ahead to request medical assistance, the aircraft landed normally and the customer disembarked and was met by medics for further treatment.

"The aircraft departed to Warsaw shortly after and Ryanair apologises to customers for this short delay.”
