It was the rush hour that rocked our nation.

Eleven years ago today terror struck at the heart of our country as back-pack bombers blitzed London.

7/7 2005 witnessed worst homeland atrocity since 1988 Pan Am Flight 103 Lockerbie outrage.

Public transport commuters were targeted in coordinated central London suicide attacks that saw Islamist extremists independently detonate three home-made devices in quick succession. Underground attacks were closely followed by equally shocking double-decker blast.

More than 700 were hurt. Today we solemnly remember them. And particularly 52 victims who tragically lost their lives.
