A SCHOOL rugby team is celebrating after converting hard work into new kit.

As a reward for all their efforts members of the touch rugby team at Pheasant Bank School in Rossington scored brand new shirts.

For the past two years the team made up of students from years four to six have been working with Stewart Cullen of Fit 2 Play to brush up on their technique.

Stewart, who has also worked with Doncaster Knights, said: “The children absolutely loved their new shirts.

“I’ve been really impressed with the level of commitment shown by the team who routinely give up their free time to come along and train.”

Teacher Matt Brandham, who set the team up said: “The team have had some great success including getting through to the Yorkshire finals so this was a nice reward for them.”
