A PHOTOGRAPHER has embarked on a seven-year mission to walk round the globe, stopping off in Doncaster.

Romanian-born Mihai Tufa, 26, left Harrogate last Thursday on his 60,000 kilometre trek which will take him across Europe, Asia and Australia, before walking the length of America and returning to Britain via Africa.

He is capturing the trek through his camera, and will be updating pictures daily to his website in a bid to raise £300,000 for the charities Water Aid, The British Heart Foundation and Princess Margarita of Romania Trust.

As part of his stop off in Doncaster the photographer paid a visit to the minster before heading off in the direction of Dover.

He is believed to be the first attempt to walk around the globe, documenting it with photographs and blogs along the way.

After his first week of walking Mihai had made it to Worksop.
