All aboard for a trip down memory lane to some bygone buses from Doncaster's past!

We hope you've got your tickets for our pictorial gallery of some nostalgic forms of transport from years gone by.

Eager Beavers were also once a common sight on the streets of South Yorkshire.

Eager Beavers were also once a common sight on the streets of South Yorkshire.

From Little Nippers to Eager Beavers, there's a whole host of buses you'll recall trundling around Doncaster in the 70s, 80s and 90s.

We've dug into our picture archives to find evidence of some of them - can you recall the cream and tan double deckers - and when they used to pick up passengers in front of the Arndale Centre?

Or perhaps you have hazy memories of the experimental electric bus that ran along Doncaster's Straight Mile alongside the Racecourse in the 80s - but which never got off the ground.

We're sure a few of our pictures will conjure up some memories for you all!
