STAFF at one firm well and truly had the hump when it came to fundraising.

For workers at the BT call centre in Lakeside were joined by a comic camel called Humphrey who ‘desert-ed’ his usual surroundings to visit the Keepmoat Stadium and start fundraising for this year’s Red Nose Day early.

The desert trekker was joined by fellow fancy dressers and the town’s football mascot Donny Dog as they appealed for donors to fill his saddlebags with cash.

It kicked-off a series of fundraising activities residents, schools and businesses across the borough plan to hold for Comic Relief tomorrow.

Our photographers will be out and about across the borough tomorrow covering the big day.

See next week’s Free Press for pictures of your events.
