YOUNGSTERS at Waverley Primary School have been learning how to go green.

Pupils at the school in Douglas Road, Balby, have been taking part in a green week learning what items can go in their recycle bins and the impact simple changes can have on the environment.

Classes also took part in an initiative to save energy by turning off lights and not leaving electrical items on standby.

The students were asked to create an environmentally themed bin design which will be used in the school playground.
