Heavy rain yesterday has affected this evening’s Doncaster race meeting.
The soft ground has led to a swathe of withdrawals for Doncaster’s twilight fixture this evening, with 19 horses declared as non-runners due to the conditions.
With 6mm of rain yesterday the going has changed to soft by the end of the card.
The worst affected race is the 7.35 with six non-runners out of 16, while the 6.30 has lost five runners out of 14.
Clerk of the course Roderick Duncan said: “It’s continued to rain and I had put we expected rain in my going reports prior to the meeting, so it’s a little disappointing but there’s not much we can do about it.”
