DONCASTER schools are being urged to add a new subject to their timetables - Race for Life.
Organisers of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life are encouraging pupils, parents and teachers to support the Doncaster event – by taking part, fundraising, volunteering or performing on stage.
They are urging them to think of the traditional three ‘Rs’ in a unique, new way – as reading, writing and Race for Life.
A special pack has been created for primary and secondary schools, featuring ideas for assemblies and top tips on training and fundraising.
The Doncaster events take place on Saturday, June 25, and Sunday, June 26, on Town Field.
