PUPILS at Toll Barr Primary had a mind boggling puzzle day to improve their maths skills.

The aim of the day at the Askern Road school was to improve the children’s group discussion and problem solving.

The whole school took part in the puzzle challenge day, with children an young as four enjoying the activities.

Yvonne Whaley, maths subject leader at the school, said: “All the children really enjoyed the puzzles and challenges we organised.

“Some children from Bentley High Street school came to join in, and everyone enjoyed working with different people.

“The time flew by, and all the children couldn’t believe they had spent so long doing maths activities.”
