YOUNGSTERS handed out road safety advice to motorists caught speeding near their school.
Neighbourhood police officers teamed up with Castle Hills Primary School to tackle speeding along Jossey Lane, Scawthorpe, following complaints.
Speeds were displayed on a digital display and 15 motorists caught over the limit were pulled over. Pupils then offered road safety advice before handing out posters they had made as to why drivers should kill their speed.
PCSO Phillip Barker said: “It was excellent to get the school involved in tackling the concerns of the school and the community. The day proved to be an invaluable way of educating children and drivers regarding speed; having the children at the roadside really helped to get the message across.”
