life is a cabaret for a group of primary school pupils who are stepping back in time with an 80s themed variety show.

Year six pupils who are members of the after school performing arts club at Mallard Primary are preparing to tread the boards tonight in what will be their first ever live performance.

The mini stage stars of the future are set to be joined by staff to deliver ‘The Totally Awesome 80s show’.

Parents are in for a treat as the children perform a medley of musical numbers and school caretaker Bob shows off his best air guitar.

The club meets every Thursday after school led by staff members Matt Wilkinson, who wrote the show, and Tina Dodgson.

Ms Dodgson said: “The staff and children have worked incredibly hard to get this production ready and are looking forward to building on its success in the New Year.”
