children voiced their concerns about road safety outside of their school to a Doncaster MP.

Pupils from Tickhill St Mary’s School, St Marys Road met Caroline Flint to tell her about people breaking the parking rules outside the school.

Said Caroline: “The school are clear that it is a handful of parents who ignore the zigzag lines and the No Excuses warning banner. Often they are parents who are running late, who think it won’t hurt to break the rules. I wonder if they would carry on doing it if they had to hear these pupils concerns.

Pupils are taking registration numbers down, putting notices in the school newsletter and writing to local councillors because they are worried that someone will be hurt.
