A popular Epworth pub in expected to re-open next week.

The Mowbray Arms, Albion Hill, closed its doors unexpectedly last month.

A spokesperson from Enterprise Inns, who took over the pub last year, said: “We’re pleased to announce that new Publican, Dridi, will be taking on the Mowbray Arms with the aim of having it back open and trading from Friday 10th July. We wish him every success with his new business venture and hope that the local residents of Epworth will visit this popular pub to enjoy the range of cask ales & home cooked food and show their support.”

Epworth resident and town councillor, Michail Harm said “I can not speak on behalf of other members of Epworth Town council, but personally I’m delighted to see the Mowbray is due to open again. Dridi brings a wealth of experience from the hospitality industry that will a hopefully bring a new dynamic and some stability back to the pub. I hope the patrons return and help to make it the thriving business it once was.”
