Probe into cause of garage fire in Rotherham

An investigation is underway into the cause of a fire which broke out in a garage in Rotherham.

The blaze in All Saints Way, Aston, Rotherham, was discovered at 12.30am today.

Firefighters extinguished the flames.

During the same shift firefighters were also called out to a shed which caught fire in Cross Lane, Royston, Barnsley.

Embers from a garden fire started the blaze.

A bedroom fire also broke out in a property in Trafalgar Street, Carcroft, Doncaster, which firefighters believe to have been caused by smoking materials.

A smoke alarm alerted residents to the fire.

Nobody was injured.

An industrial skip was found burning in Roberts Road, Edlington, Doncaster, but the cause is not yet known.
