This is your last chance to shout about the people who make you proud to live and work in Doncaster.

Nominations for this year’s Pride in Doncaster Awards close on Friday.

The Free Press, in conjunction with Doncaster Council, is searching for the people - carers, community workers, inspiration individuals and charity workers - who make Doncaster great.

You can make a nomination by visiting www.doncaster.gov.uk/pride.

Mayor of Doncaster Ros Jones said: “These awards recognise people in our communities who are doing exceptional things in Doncaster, be it improving the place where they live, helping others in their community or a great personal or sporting achievement.”

There are 12 award categories, which are: fundraiser of the year, educational person of the year, inspirational young person, mayor’s award for lifetime achievement, award for bravery, neighbourhood superstar, sporting hero, special achievement in the community, carer of the year, service with a smile, council worker of the year, and love where you live. Finalists will be invited to an awards ceremony at Doncaster Racecourse in October.
