The food mall in Doncaster’s Frenchgate Centre has been plunged into darkness due to power problems just days after disruption was caused by a leak.
Frenchgate Centre manager said there was no suggestion the power problem was connected to the leak on Friday afternoon.
He added: “We are still trading as normal and waiting for the Electricity Board to arrive to resolve the problem as soon as possible.
“There is a suggestion the problem is at the supply end rather than on site.”
The incident comes after Subway was forced to close on Friday after water started pouring through the ceiling.
Shoppers watched as a squad of Frenchgate staff tried to mop up the water which was dripping from the top floor above the Trades and Labour Club.
Engineers working on an elevated platform removed ceiling tiles to see where it was coming from.
An investigation into the leak is underway.
