A string of town centre businesses have been hit by a power cut this morning.

The Doncaster Free Press was among the businesses affected with several other firms on Printing Office Street and Cleveland Street without power early on.

William Hill, The Farm Shop, CEX Exchange and Massarella’s tobacconists on Printing Office Street were among the firms without power.

The lights went off at about 8.30am, along with phones and computer systems.

Electricity supplier YEDL investigated the problem and power was restored at around 10am.
