A picture of Doncaster North MP Ed Miliband staring down a commuter attempting to take a candid picture of him on the tube has become the latest internet sensation.

The picture was posted by Twitter user @gunnerpunner with the caption 'This guy on my train won't stop staring at me. He must follow me...' just after 9am yesterday morning.

Since then the picture of the former Labour leader, who stood down from the position after a crushing general election defeat in May, has been published on the websites of national titles including Buzzfeed, The Independent, The Daily Mail, The Express, Metro and The Mirror.

It has also been retweeted more than 1,500 times and received over 1,600 likes on the social media site.

Following his resignation, Mr Miliband has concentrated on working in his Doncaster North constituency and campaigning on environmental issues.
