HUNDREDS of folk popped the kettle on to raise thousands of pounds for the fight against cancer.
People of all ages joined in the fun as Doncaster once again embraced the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Schools, businesses and civic leaders all enjoyed a cuppa, and probably a glass of water to cool off in soaring temperatures.
Fundraising stalwart Georgina Mullis once again opened up her home in Warmsworth. The former Edlington councillor has been holding charity events for more than 20 years raising more than £7,000.
Meanwhile building society staff swapped cash for cakes as customers of the Nationwide in Priory Place joined in the festivities.Others to stage a coffee morning included Cafe Theo in St Francis of Assisi Church in Bessacarr and North Ridge Community School in Woodlands.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s biggest fundraising event, last year raising more than £8 million nationally towards research into cancer.
