Have your say

In honour of this week being Back To The Future week, we’ve hopped back in our own time machine to take you back to Doncaster in the 1980s once again.

Wednesday was the exact date which Marty McFly, star of the hit 1980s time travel movie franchise Back To The Future, and pal Doc Emmett Brown, zoomed forward to in the second part of the film series.

They’d travelled to October 21, 2015 from 1985 - so we thought it would be fun to take a trip back to discover what Doncaster was like back in the 80s.

Nationally and internationally, it was the year of Bob Geldof’s Live Aid charity music spectacular, two separate football stadium tragedies at Bradford and Heysel and the end of the 1984-85 Miners’ Strike.
Ronald Reagan was elected American president for the second time while Mikhail Gorbachev took charge in the Soviet Union, the wreck of the Titanic was discovered and Aussie soap Neigbours, video game Super Mario Bros and mobile phones all made their debut.

We’ve plucked out a host of nostalgic shots - and you could be on them!
So come with us on a journey back to the 1980s - and see if you can spot yourself in any of our archive pictures.
