‘Passion’ helps Doncaster band get US record deal
HUULEN, made up of vocalist Andy, bassist Will and brothers Matt and Joe, have been signed to RockAvenue Records USA, meaning their music will be released through Sony Music in the new year.
On the back of this news, the band are the USA, Canada and Europe early next year – as well as the UK.

Hide AdTheir relationship with the international label will also help to gain big festival and support slots.
It hasn’t come easily, however, as the four band-members have been hard at it in the music industry in other bands for almost nine years.
Matt, the guitarist, said: "Growing up, we played some gigs and Joe was only fifteen.
“We'd play some, and as soon as we finished, we'd get kicked out of our own gig.”

Hide AdHUULEN is a reinvention of their former band, which sounded more ‘pop-y’.
Matt said they had now become, “a bit more mature, a bit heavier and a bit more rocky".
Taking inspiration from everything from the Kooks to Radiohead, they are working on an album to be released in late January, working with producer in a ‘private’ Doncaster studio.
On the back of being signed, Matt said: “It feels like it’s towards something now”.

Hide AdThey have already penned in a mini-tour of Scotland for January, and a headline set at Sheffield’s Record Junkee on February 8 2020.
Matt said: “We just enjoy doing it, its our passion - we do it because we like doing it.”
