Doncaster folk are being invited to take part in a fun run in June to help raise money for a local hospice appeal.
The free to enter fun run – which can also be walked or skipped or entered with little ones being pushed in buggies – will take place on Sunday June 8, with fun runners allowed to start the event between 12 noon and 1pm. Youngsters can, if they wish, take part in fancy dress, and prizes are up for grabs for the best entrants in three categories - fives and under, six – 11 years and 12 years plus. All children taking part will also receive a certificate.
Fun run participants will be asked to make a donation to the St John’s Hospice Development Appeal.
There will also be a bouncy castle and face-painting at the event, which will take place in the grounds of St Catherine’s House, Woodfield Park, Balby, Doncaster, and a craft fayre is also taking place in the house.
The run covers just over 1 kilometre.
Mel Hewitt, Hospice Fundraiser, said: “This will be a great event where families can come along, take part in the run, and enjoy the other fun on offer.”
If anyone would like to enter the event and gain sponsorship for the hospice appeal, sponsor forms are available by ringing 01302 798391 or 796666.
