A PENSIONER used his dead wife’s disabled parking badge to illegally park.
John Barry Delves has now been ordered to pay more than £300 for his con which was rumbled by Doncaster Council.
The 67-year-old of Morgan Road, Intake, admitted an offence under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 after using the blue badge last November. His wife died in 2009.
He was fined £57 and ordered to pay £215 costs by magistrates.
Speaking after the hearing mayor of Doncaster, Peter Davies said: “I am very concerned about the misuse of blue badges across the borough.
“We will not tolerate fraudsters trying to evade payment of parking charges that everybody else pays.
“This only leads to bona fide disabled people being unable to find the parking spaces they need.”
