Eight cyclists have proved that pedal power can bring the pounds rolling in.

The keen cyclists, who all work for Network Rail in Doncaster, have raised £1,523 after cycling 120 miles each from the Boat Inn at Sprotbrough along the Trans Pennine Trail to Hessle.

Dave Brennan, Gary Wall, Carl Riley, Mick Woodward, James Pine, John Bow, Darren Barker and Mark Plant, took to their mountain bikes to say thank you to St John’s Hospice for the care they showed Gary’s mother-in-law Carol Warren was cared for at the hospice.
