Doncaster revellers can get ready to party all night this weekend - as a club which will operate until 5am opens its doors for the very first time.
Candi, which will be based within Australian theme pub Walkabout on Priory Walk, will be unveiled officially at midnight on Saturday - and will allow drinkers to party into the early hours of Sunday.
Organisers believe it is the latest licence ever given to a Doncaster nightclub, and goes beyond most venues which currently stay open until 2am or 3am.
The club is the brainchild of promoter Lucinda Cozens who said: “Staying open until that time is pretty extreme, I have to admit. But winter can be pretty damp and grey and miserable so we want to put a bit of sparkle back for people going out and having a great time.”
Geordie Shore hunk Ricci Guarnaccio will be making a personal appearance at Saturday’s opening with the club being staged every Saturday between midnight and 5am.
The reality TV star appeared in four series of the MTV show and also appeared on this year’s series of Celebrity Big Brother, being the sixth contestant to be evicted from the house.
Lucinda added: “The club is going to be totally separate and different from Walkabout. We are going to have lots of promotional appearances and special events going on and every week we will be transforming the place so it will look very different.
“We chose the name because we want the club to have a sweet theme. It will be very pink and glittery with lots of sweet treats for those who come along.”
The club will play commercial chart music and party favourites and will have a capacity for more than 1,000 people.
Lucinda added: “We want to bring business back to this part of town and have a nice, big, happy party atmosphere.
“A lot of the scene can be harsh and heavy so we want to bring the fun back and lighten things up a bit.”
The club will have an admission charge of between £3 and £5.
