Paralympic star cruelly attacked near his home

A FORMER Paralympic medallist with learning disabilities has been brutally assaulted near his home.

Adrian Howes, 46, was attacked by a man and a woman who were pushing a baby in a pram in an alleyway as he returned home from his mother's house.

Police are hunting the pair who shoved him to the ground and kicked and punched him in a seemingly unprovoked attack near King George Road in Rossington.

The couple had been arguing before they attacked him, Adrian said.
