Residents have hit out at a decision to cancel an upcoming pantomime - claiming the venue made it difficult to buy tickets.
Hundreds of disgruntled parents took to social media to blast the decision to cancel Peter Pan at Doncaster Racecourse due to slow ticket sales.
Show organisers are in discussions to find an alternative venue so the show can still go on.
Michelle Parker posted: “More than 200 comments have been made on Facebook about this with a huge number of people complaining about the racecourse processing their ticket sales.
“Many people state they had to try several times to book through the racecourse, with many unreturned calls from them regarding their tickets.”
Angela Kelly posted: “If people were able to actually get in touch and speak to someone or even access the website then more tickets would have been sold.
“Having said that, many people don’t book this early and wait till December.”
But Mark Spincer, managing director at Doncaster Racecourse, said: “We are not aware of any issues with our booking systems and, as a venue taking numerous bookings every day for our race days and events which attract thousands of people, it’s a system we have every confidence in.”
