a ROAD in Balby has been named as the worst in the borough by residents.
Sylvester Avenue is unadopted by the council, which means it has been left riddled with potholes and large, loose stones.
Resident Terry Lyle has been campaigning to Doncaster Council for ten years to get it resurfaced, but has had no success.
He said: “It is dangerous for old people walking up there.
“It is fairly steep for them to walk up and they could trip and hurt themselves.
“The council could help by just getting it levelled out.
“I think this is the worst road in the whole of Doncaster.”
The path along the road is also unlevel according to those living in the area, making it a hazard to walkers.
Doncaster Council only take on maintenance for roads after they have been adopted, which must be paid for by residents.
