John "Jack" Roberts of Scawsby, described as a "long-standing resident" of the suburb, died on August 10.

An obituary described him as the dearly loved husband of the late Blodwen and "much-loved" father of Dennis, Pauline, David and the late Violet.

He was also described as a father in law to Harry, Susan and the late Marie, a dear brother and uncle and a devoted grandfather, great grandfather and a friend to many.
