Now is the time to nominate special people within your community for an award of recognition.
Volunteers, people who have overcome barriers, or achievers in sport or art across the Isle, could all be in with a chance of becoming North Lincolnshire Community Champions.
This year’s awards’ presentation will take place on November 28.
Community groups too can be held up as shining examples.
To nominate a person or people, complete an online form on the council’s website (www.northlincs.gov.uk/leisure/community-champion-awards/), request a nomination form by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01724 297270.
Or simply pick up a nomination form at any local link or library in North Lincolnshire.
The awards are split into four categories - Volunteer, Achievement, Community, and Inspiration. There will be 22 individual awards, each sponsored by a local business.
To find out more, visit the Community Champion Awards pages on the council website (www.northlincs.gov.uk/leisure/community-champion-awards/).
Isle Councillor John Briggs cabinet member Asset Management, Culture and Housing, said: “There are many inspirational stories right on our doorsteps that deserve recognition.”
