Doncaster Minster has unveiled a new logo which symbolises the next stage in the development of the historic church.

Design student Shane Murphy’s fresh modern design has been chosen to represent the gothic landmark’s future as an urban minster, working in partnership with the borough’s civic, education and business communities as a focus for civic pride, heritage and community.

Doncaster College design student Shane’s illustration was selected after the Vicar of Doncaster MInster, the Rev Canon Dr Paul Shackerley launched a competition last year.

Physically, Shane’s design reflects the East Window of the Grade 1 listed church, along with the theological messages of light, hope, resurrection and hospitality. It is being produced in association with printing.com.
