A FATHER and son duo are engineering success after creating their very own wedding car from scratch.

Philip Hamilton, 43 and his son Jordan, 16, of Greenfield Gardens, Cantley, have spent the last nine months building a 1930s replica which will carry happy Doncaster couples around in style.

The silver Beaumont open top Tourer cost around £20,000 to build and will be hitting the road once the final paperwork is completed.

Philip, formerly in the Royal Engineers, said: “Every part has been built by us even down to getting out a sewing machine and sewing the upholstery.”

The car will be used for Mr Hamilton’s limousine and wedding car business, JJ Silver Limos in Cantley.
